I was as caught up in the TnD fever in 84 as anybody else. But it wasn't blind patriotic stuff - when I watched them, they just looked like class, and their synchrony seemed excellent, even to this outsider. After 84 I kept watching ice dance, even after TnD required, but nothing seemed quite so classy, even if those who followed might have been more technically proficient (I'm not a skater, so can't judge). I am a drummer tho, so can see them hitting the beats - which they seemed to do like they were glued together.

Sorry, this is probably boring, but I just realised that both the TnD vids I linked to are from 1996, when T was 39, and D was 38!
